The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 (14ʺ Intel) still uses carbon fiber for its chassis — but now part of this carbon fiber is recycled from industrial waste and is used along with 90% recycled magnesium. Additionally, the chassis, battery, speaker enclosure, and power adapter all contain recycled consumer content. The packaging is 100% plastic-free and partially made from rapidly renewable materials, including bamboo and sugarcane fibers.

We listened to user feedback: we’ve revamped our legendary keyboard

Our redesigned ThinkPad keyboard now includes tactile marks to help visually impaired individuals easily find the right keys. We’ve moved the fingerprint reader to the keyboard, allowing for a larger sensor for a better experience. Additionally, our TrackPad is now even bigger, with a size of 120 mm / 4.72ʺ.
